Breakfast Bake recipeBreakfast Bake ingredients list:2 cups of Cheddar cheese, shredded.
2 ¾ cup of uncooked white rice.
12 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled.
½ cup of chili sauce.
1 15 oz tin of tomato sauce.
1 green pepper, cut into 12 rings thinly sliced.
12 eggs. Instructions for Breakfast Bake:Cook rice using instructions on packet, do not add salt.
Mix the rice, 1 ¼ cups of cheese, ½ cup of bacon, chili sauce, and tomato sauce.
Put the mixture into a lightly greased 13x9x2 inch baking dish and pat down firmly.
Make 12 wells in rice mixture, approx 2 inches, using the back of a spoon.
Cover the dish and bake for 25 minutes at 350°F.
Remove from oven and break an egg into each well, put a ring of green pepper around each egg well.
Cover dish and bake for a further 30 minutes or until the eggs have set.
Top the eggs with the rest of the cheese and bacon; cover and leave to stand for 5-10 minutes until cheese melts. Back to the Rice Recipes home page.
