Broccoli Rice Casserole recipe

This cheesy dinner classic is a throwback to the 1950s—a family tradition your kids will make for their kids.

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 large onion, chopped
2 cups finely chopped broccoli florets
3 cups cooked white rice
1 (10-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
1 (8-ounce) jar prepared cheese sauce

Directions:

1) Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9-by-13-inch casserole dish.

2) Melt butter over medium heat in a large skillet. Add onion and cook until transparent, stirring occasionally, about 4 minutes. Add broccoli and cook 3 minutes, stirring. Add remaining ingredients; stir well to coat.

3) Transfer mixture to prepared casserole dish. Bake until bubbling, about 30 minutes. Cool slightly and serve warm.
