Crockpot Wild Rice Pilaf recipe

Crockpot Wild Rice Pilaf ingredients list:

2 cups of uncooked wild rice.
½ cup of green onion, finely chopped.
½ teaspoon of salt.
Pinch of pepper.
2 (14 oz) cans of ready to serve chicken broth.
2 cups of water.
2 (4 oz) cans of sliced mushrooms, drained.
1 teaspoon of dried thyme leaves.

Instructions for Crockpot Wild Rice Pilaf:

Spray a 3 quart slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.

Rinse the wild rice and drain thoroughly.

Combine in crockpot together with the chopped green onion, salt, pepper, chicken broth and water and mix well.

Cover the crockpot and cook on HIGH for about 3-4 hours.

Add the sliced mushrooms and thyme and stir gently.

Cover and cook on LOW for about 45 minutes longer or until the wild rice pops and is tender.
